Our Engagements
Three engagements, each with a clear purpose
Each of our engagements is designed for a specific kind of moment in an organisation's life. None of them is open-ended — they have a defined scope, a clear deliverable, and a fixed price.

How the work is structured
Every engagement begins with a short initial conversation — typically thirty minutes — in which we discuss your situation, what you are hoping to achieve, and whether one of our engagements seems like a natural fit. If it does, we agree on scope, timing, and fee before any work begins.
We do not use standard frameworks imposed uniformly across clients. Each engagement starts with the actual situation as it presents itself, and the analysis or document that results is built specifically from that starting point. The written outputs we produce are structured, readable, and designed to remain useful well after the engagement ends.
All work is carried out directly by the principals. There are no handoffs to junior staff and no project management layers between the client and the person doing the thinking.
Initial conversation
Brief, no-obligation discussion to understand your situation and establish whether there is a natural fit.
Scope and fee agreement
Clear written agreement on what the engagement covers, what you will receive, and the fixed fee involved.
Structured engagement
Working sessions, analysis, and written development according to the methodology suited to the engagement type.
Delivery and closing review
Final written output delivered, followed by a closing conversation to address any remaining questions.
Engagement One
Business Reflection Period
A three-month engagement designed for owners or senior leaders who sense that their organisation would benefit from a period of careful thinking before its next significant choices. Over the engagement we meet bi-weekly, work through the questions that emerge, and build up — gradually — a considered document that captures the thinking and its implications. The pace is deliberately unhurried. Suitable for leaders who value thoroughness over speed and who are willing to sit with questions rather than rushing to answers.
- Six bi-weekly working sessions over three months
- Structured written document as final deliverable
- Questions and themes developed collaboratively
- Suitable for strategic inflection points or pre-decision periods
Fixed fee
USD 950

Engagement Two
Partnership Evaluation Engagement
For organisations considering a meaningful partnership, joint venture, or collaboration with another entity, this engagement provides independent analytical support. We examine the strategic fit, the practical mechanics, the financial implications, and — importantly — the honest questions the organisation should be asking itself and the prospective partner. Engagements typically run four weeks and conclude with a considered written evaluation.
- Typically four weeks in duration
- Strategic fit, financial, and operational analysis
- Written evaluation as final deliverable
- Identifies key questions and risks to assess further
Fixed fee
USD 680
Four-week engagement
Engagement Three
Documentation Review Service
For businesses preparing important internal or external documents — operating plans, partnership proposals, succession documents, narrative summaries — this service provides careful editorial and structural review. We work with the draft document, suggesting improvements in clarity, organisation, tone, and completeness, while preserving the author's voice. Turnaround is typically one to two weeks depending on document length.
- One to two weeks turnaround
- Clarity, structure, tone, and completeness reviewed
- Author's voice preserved throughout
- Suitable for high-stakes business documents
Fixed fee
USD 190
Per document

Well suited Not primary purpose — may still be relevant
If you are unsure which engagement fits your situation, the most useful thing is usually a short conversation. We can help you work out what would be most appropriate — and if none of our engagements is the right fit, we will say so.
Shared Standards
What applies across all our work
Confidentiality agreement as standard
Every engagement is covered by a formal confidentiality agreement, signed before the work begins.
Written output reviewed before delivery
All written deliverables are reviewed by at least one principal before being sent to the client.
Fixed fee, no surprises
The fee is agreed before the work begins and does not change unless the scope is formally revised by mutual agreement.
Principals deliver the work
No junior handoffs. The people who understand your situation are the ones who work on it throughout.
Pace suited to the engagement type
Each engagement type has a natural rhythm built into its design. We do not rush work for operational convenience.
Closing review at end of engagement
Every engagement closes with a review conversation to address questions and gather honest feedback on the work.

Not sure which engagement fits?
A short conversation is usually the best way to work that out. Tell us briefly about your situation and what you are hoping to think through — we will give you an honest view of what, if anything, we can offer.
